RC 23

Dear all, I finally got the time and courage to make a little a mix-tape. I’m playing some of my favourite records at the moment. Going from east to west from up to down – all for you to enjoy. Thanks for borrowing me your listening ears.

RC 22

He was born from that gelid gaze he was wearing.
But today, as for a long time, it wasn’t enough.
Everything was here and him.

RC 21

RC 20

So proud. In this episode of Rhythm Cycles we meet Melbourne resident turned European Gordy Zola. With his refined taste he goes on digging trips around the european continent. In this mix he gets funky ambient with an african approach passing by boogie and more electronic sounds. Can you feel the love and kindness?

RC 20 — Gordy Zola — 05.12.12 by Rhythm Cycles

I met Gordy in London, since we had a friend in common, and it has been a pleasure be take on a musical journey with this guy. Always up for a party, listening session or a digging trip Spike aka Gordy goes deep. Recently London relocated, he spins records at smaller venues around on The Big Smoke, if you’re around this weekend he will co-host a night of dancing and lounging under the Italian restaurant Luigi’s in Stoke Newington, together with myself and Mike from episode 18, can’t wait!

RC 19

Back to Paris. This time young french vinyl aficionado Julien Minarro aka Waxist Selecta introduces us to many obscure tunes in the cross section between modern soul and (disco) reggae. In this lovely episode of Rhythm Cycles Waxist shows us how deep he goes digging – both online and in and around the french capital.

RC 19 – Waxist Selecta – 19.11.12 by Rhythm Cycles

First knowledge I got of Waxist was listening to several of his mixes online, I really liked the soulful reggae approach. Continuer la lecture
